Since 2018, ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ has been sending students abroad to Austria for the USTA Foreign Language Assistantship, a program under the auspices of Fulbright. This year, two recent alumni, Molly Johnson and fall 2019 commencement speaker Rose Kruger, will represent the university in Austria for the upcoming academic year.

Raymond Weber appointed interim dean of ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Community & Technical College

Following an internal search process, Dr. Raymond Weber, Aviation Technology faculty member, has agreed to step into the role of interim dean for ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ Community & Technical College. Ray will serve for two years and we will conduct a national search for the permanent dean in academic year 2021-2022.

After analyzing industry best practices and weighing the options against our fiscal reality, the Chancellor’s Cabinet made the difficult decision to outsource the handling of textbooks and course materials to a third-party vendor beginning in the fall 2020 term.

UA HR would like to formally introduce Chris Triplett as the Talent Acquisition Specialist focused on ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ recruitment. She will be taking over most of the duties that Rhonda McKay had been handling over the last few months. She will maintain an office in the University Lake Building with the rest of the Anchorage-based UA HR personnel.
