Social work master鈥檚 student Jay Greene (pronouns: they/them, he/him) believes in system reform through policy, as evidenced in their work with 老澳门六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 LGBTQIA2S+ Committee and Gender Inclusive Housing Committee. Greene was a recipient of the Student Diversity Scholarship.
Set in beautiful northwest Alaska, Modern Subsistence is a documentary short by Ian Foster, a 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 School of Social Work master's student. Foster explores questions with modern hunter-gatherers in an effort to discover if/how ancient customs and modern society can coexist.
Even amidst a global pandemic slowdown, it鈥檚 been a productive year for Naidene Baechler. She will serve as the speaker for this fall鈥檚 graduate hooding ceremony after completing her Master of Social Work in May 2020. Merely one week after earning her degree, Baechler kicked off her career as program supervisor for the Knik Tribal Council (KTC).
Since 2014, the Municipality of Anchorage鈥檚 (MOA) Welcoming Anchorage project has been building a network between local businesses, organizations and the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation to recognize the contributions immigrants and refugees make to our city through economic, cultural and social impacts.
