Biography

Dr. Piqueiras is an Assistant Professor in the Division of Population Health Sciences. He is trained as a medical anthropologist and public health researcher. His work and passion center around three complementary streams of research: (1) human-environmental interactions across the life course, particularly emerging and reemerging infectious diseases exacerbated by a changing climate; (2) water, sanitation, and hygiene (WaSH) access and infrastructure development; and (3) the development and application of qualitative, mixed and/or multimethod research methodologies in public health and clinical research.

Before joining 老澳门六合彩开奖记录, he was a research methodologist at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, focused on developing clinically integrated pathways for improved patient care with a focus on men's health and urology. When not in the classroom, the lab, or conducting fieldwork, he can be found scuba diving the icy waters of the north, competitive fencing, or snowboarding on the nearest mountain.
