The ASCE, founded in 1852, is the oldest national engineering society in the United States. ASCE was formed to enhance the quality of life through the advancement of professional knowledge and by improving the practice of civil engineering. ASCE currently has over 120,000 members, including over 15,000 student members nationwide.

"I joined ASCE in Spring 2019 where I attended meetings and joined the steel bridge team and got to travel to the PNW Regional Competition and the National Competition with the team. Since joining ASCE I have also attended the Anchorage Branch meetings, participated in the mentorship program and outreach events, and engaged with lots of civil engineering professionals."
Who is ASCE open to?
ASCE is open to all civil engineering students and any prospective engineering or civil engineering students. If you don't know what civil engineering is, stop by our meetings and find out!
How do students benefit from ASCE?
ASCE at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 brings students together to learn about civil engineering, network with professionals, participate in the community with youth outreach, and compete in student competitions. ASCE had meetings twice a month where professionals present on a topic or project in their specific field. Students have the opportunity to compete in the ASCE and AISC Steel Bridge student competitions, participate in a mentorship program including get help on their resumes, and participate in engineering outreach events such as E-Week or Halloween Fun Night.

Is there an opportunity for industry professionals to get involved?
Yes! We have professionals speak at each meeting and they are always happy to answer questions about careers or projects they are working on. We also have a mentorship program where we pair a student and mentor and give them the opportunity to polish their resume, practice interviews, and ask the mentor about their career.
