Big Sky, Mont. – The ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ alpine ski team collected seven podium finishes at the Western Region December FIS Series at Big Sky Resort.

Ainsley Proffit led the Seawolves with two wins in the giant slalom events and one victory in the slalom.

Ella Bromee landed on the podium in all four races, finishing second three times and third once.

The Seawolves swept the podium in the giant slalom on Dec. 13 with Proffit taking the win (1:42.97), Bromee second (1:43.58) and Ashleigh Alexander third (1:43.76).

Proffit led a Seawolf sweep the following day in the slalom winning in 1:36.12, followed by Carmen Nielssen (1:37.45) and Bromee third (1:37.66).

Caeden Carruthers led the ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ men finishing third in both slalom races, ninth in the first giant slalom race and 10th in the second giant slalom race.

Will Cashmore finished sixth in both slalom races, ninth in the first giant slalom race and 15th in the second giant slalom race.

Hunter Eid placed 12th in both slalom races and one giant slalom race.

Meanwhile in Panorama, British Columbia, senior standout Jan Ronner finished 14th and 18th in the esteemed Nor-Am Cup slalom races. Teammate Dylan Timm finished 16th in the first slalom but hit trouble on day 2, skiing out at the bottom of a steep section of the course. Freshman Carlo Cordone moved from a late starting number into the flip 30 and finished 28th, scoring the first NorAm points of his career.

"These were two really good December series for our team," said head coach Sparky Anderson. "We're having success at every level, and I'm excited to see what we can do when we face off against the NCAA behemoths in January. I feel good about where we're at, but it's a long season as we have to keep our foot on the gas pedal. The level out there is just so high. These results show that we're up for the challenge."

ÀÏ°ÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±¼Ç¼ will open the collegiate season at the RMISA Qualifier at Loveland Ski Area Jan. 6.
