'Breathing Both Sides', an exhibition by Susan Joy Share

Susan Joy Share鈥檚 exhibit, 'Breathing Both Sides' is an installation of collages and assemblages that reflect her in-depth study of book and paper arts. Japanese origami, Chinese folk art and Indigenous American Seminole techniques come into play. She uses numerous repetitive processes to create layered imagery that is folded, stranded, interwoven and applied. This lively and storied work reflects her connection to place and the materials she鈥檚 collected along the way. Her mixed-media artwork is geometric and structured, and at the same time, intuitive and organic. It is main dish and delicious leftovers, filled with pattern, color and intimate detail.
'Breathing Both Sides' will be on display in the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录/APU Consortium Library's Arc Gallery from Sep. 4- Nov. 1, 2024. The opening reception with artist will be held Wednesday, Sep. 4, 5-7 p.m. This is a free event open to the public, with free parking in main library lot.
