Face covering policy update

Dear 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Community,

As many of you are likely aware, Mayor Berkowitz recently signed requiring masks or cloth face coverings be worn indoors in public settings or communal spaces outside the home. Since we have committed to remaining in Phase B and limiting on-campus activities through the fall semester, the implications of this emergency order are minimal for 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. However, we will adhere to the order and have updated our where necessary.

So long as the mayor's emergency order is in effect, use of a face mask or face shield is required when entering and exiting 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 facilities, when traveling to and from personal workstations and when work requires contact within six feet of other people that cannot be avoided due to existing operations. Though still encouraged, masks are not required when the only direct contact is between members of the same household or when individuals are never within six feet of others.

Recent scientific studies indicate that masks and face coverings can help reduce the spread of the virus, especially given that a significant portion of individuals with COVID-19 are capable of transmitting the disease to others without showing any symptoms through everyday activities such as talking in close quarters. Based on this information, the CDC recommends wearing cloth face coverings in public settings where other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.

Thank you all for doing your part to protect the health and safety of our community. I appreciate your continued resiliency and understanding.

Sincerely,
Cathy Sandeen
老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Chancellor
