Saturday, Oct. 3, 7:30 p.m. 老澳门六合彩开奖记录/APU Consortium Library, Room 307

Christer Persson, a retired Swedish diplomat, and Bertelsen Rasmus Gjedss酶, professor of northern studies at the University of Troms酶 (Anchorage's sister city in Norway), will speak on "Scandinavia and Alaska: Sweden in and Norway out of the European Union."

The Scandinavian countries have long had a special relationship with the United States and Alaska. Emigrants from Scandinavia have enriched our culture here. We share a common heritage of democracy, human rights and respect for the rule of law, as well as a special role in the Arctic. In this evening conversation on Scandinavia and Alaska, our distinguished visitors Christer Persson and Bertelson Rasmus Gjedss酶 will explore their countries' ties with our state and examine the current political situation of Sweden and Norway with respect to the European Union, the United States and Alaska.

Please join us this Saturday at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 for a fascinating evening of learning about our ties with these friendly northern nations. Parking on campus is free on Saturdays.

Organized by the Department of Political Science at the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录, the William H. Seward Lectures are free and open to the public. For more information, please visit the .
