Oil and Gas Professional Training program's third and fourth modules now offered at no cost

The third and fourth modules of the Oil and Gas Professional Training program are now being offered at no cost to attract broader audiences.

The third module, titled "Health, security, safety and environment," will be held June 4 and 5. Topics in this module include Arctic engineering, health and safety, air quality, oil spill and environment issues.

The fourth module, titled "Asset optimization and improvement," will be held June 10 and 11. Topics in this module include web-based geospatial services for remote assets management, project development and problem solving and corrosion issues. For the first day of this module, bringing your laptop is recommended to complete an in-class exercise.

This free course offering is open to anyone interested in Alaska oil and gas, including 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 faculty, staff and students as well as the general public. This training course is offered by the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Department of Engineering, Science and Project Management and funded by the State of Alaska Department of Labor and Workforce Development.

Instructors include 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 College of Engineering professors, industry professionals and state government agency representatives with extensive experience in Alaska oil and gas. Available sessions include:

Module 4: "Asset optimization and improvement" June 10-11, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. University Center, Room 155

Space in the University Center classroom is limited, but remote attendance is also possible through Skype.
