Mike McCormick, 老澳门六合彩开奖记录's assistant director of Student Activities, has won a Best of the West award from the Folk Alliance Region West (FAR-West) for his leadership role in promoting folk music in Alaska. At 老澳门六合彩开奖记录, Mike helps students put on a range of folk and popular music events.
Mike began promoting music in 1971 and created Whistling Swan Productions in 1994. Whistling Swan has presented close to 300 artists and produced more than 400 shows in Anchorage and other Alaska communities, featuring artists as diverse as Bela Fleck, Alison Krauss, John Prine and Ani DiFranco.
