Biography
Katy joined the team in October 2020, initially contributing to the COVID-19 Contact Tracing response before transitioning to the Continuing Education Team in July 2021. She holds undergraduate degrees in Sociology and Gender Studies and a Master of Public Administration with a concentration in Health Administration from the University of Alaska Anchorage.
With over ten years of experience in higher education and several years in the tourism industry, Katy brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Continuing Education team. A lifelong Alaskan, she enjoys returning to her hometown of Copper Center as often as she can.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversee creation, delivery, and assessment of grant projects and training modules
- Manage all aspects of Continuing Studies programs, including team functions, marketing, and regulatory compliance
- Implement strategies for CE program expansion, partnership development, grant funding, and tech integration
- Build and maintain relationships with health organizations, government agencies, and healthcare providers
- Ensure program integrity and compliance with laws, regulations, and policies
