Here at the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 College of Engineering, we recognize the technical and creative skills developed in youth who participate in the FIRST robotics program, and are eager to welcome FIRST alumni into our engineering and computer science programs.
Scholarship Details:
Five $1000 scholarships are available to students who have participated in the FIRST Robotics program for at least one full season during high school and have applied to 老澳门六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 College of Engineering. This scholarship is renewable for up to 3 additional years, if students maintain a GPA of at least 2.5, and remain enrolled as full-time students within the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 College of Engineering.
Student Eligibility:
- Entering Engineering students who have participated in at least one full season of FIRST Tech Challenge or FIRST Robotics Competition
- Have applied to 老澳门六合彩开奖记录, designating the College of Engineering
- Have a minimum cumulative high school GPA of 3.0 or equivalent; transfer students must have minimum college GPA of 2.5
- Minimum ACT Math and composite score of 24 or SAT score (combined Math and Critical Reading only) of 1040
- Preference given to students who have completed Pre-Calculus or equivalent in high school

About the Team
The 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 College of Engineering hosts Alaska's one and only high school FRC Robotics team, team 568, .
Team 568 is an Alaska-wide high school robotics team that designs and builds large, competitive robots to compete against other teams in the in the Pacific Northwest Region. The team is hosted in the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Engineering and Industry building in the Robotics and Innovation Lab, which they share with the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Robotics team. 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 engineering students, faculty, and staff assist in mentoring the team in many different areas of expertise.
In addition to designing, building, and programming robots, the team also conducts outreach to encourage younger students to pursue STEM careers and keep up their literacy skills.
