We invite you to embark on a Hero鈥檚 Journey of a girl on the path from childhood to adulthood in Sarah Ruhl鈥檚 contemporary retelling of the myth of Orpheus. Told from the perspective of Eurydice, the story revolves around Eurydice鈥檚 choice to return to earth with her lover Orpheus or to stay in the underworld with her deceased father.

Making his 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 directorial debut is Ketchikan native, Ty Hewitt who joined the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Department of Theatre and Dance in August. Although assisting with two fall productions, Hewitt is thrilled to take the reins and hopes 鈥渢he audience comes away questioning role of fate versus free will.鈥

    Kimberly Allely (Eurydice) is a Legal Studies major and a Theatre minor here at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. Kimberly most recently appeared  as 鈥淩onald Reagan鈥 from 老澳门六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, 鈥淐rystal鈥 from Mad Myrna鈥檚 Little Shop of Horrors, and 鈥淏abe鈥 from Anchorage Community Theatre鈥檚 Crimes of the Heart. Kimberly also acts as member and manager of 老澳门六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 improv troupe, The Ad-lib Alchemists.

    Jake Beauvais (Orpheus) is currently a fourth year theatre major with a performance emphasis at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. Most recently he was in 老澳门六合彩开奖记录鈥檚 production of 44 Plays for 44 Presidents as Washington and Jackson. He has also performed in ACT鈥檚  production of Bus Stop as Bo Decker. Jake is also a founding member of the university鈥檚 resident improv troupe, The Ad-lib Alchemists.

    Todd Sherman (Father) is an Assistant Municipal Attorney with the Municipality of Anchorage and an Air Force veteran.   This is not only his first 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 theater production; it is his first college production ever. He has been active in local theater since 2009, appearing in more than 15 productions in theaters around town. Most recently he appeared as Ben Weatherstaff in Secret Garden at ACT.

    Jacob Mayforth (Nasty-Interesting Man/Child) is a Theatre Major at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. He was most recently seen in this year鈥檚 productions as Axel Fersen in Marie Antoinette, as well as last year鈥檚 productions as Guildenstern in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead and Feste in Twelfth Night. His goal is to one day get paid to do what he loves, building and creating on the stage, and he can waste an afternoon faster than anyone when he has spare time.

    Mark Bautista (Big Stone) is a versatile performer whose interests range from singing opera to musical theatre, and everything in between including circus arts, theatre, and dance.   Mark was last seen on the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 stage as Song Liling in M. Butterfly, and Lucas in Bare: A Pop Opera. He has also performed with 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Opera Ensemble and University Singers. Mark has also performed in the community with Cyrano鈥檚 Theatre Company, AK Fire Circus, Pulse Dance Company, Out North, Theatre Artists United, and Anchorage Opera -- as well as performing solo recitals around the Alaska. When he鈥檚 not performing, Mark teaches voice, piano, and musical theatre performance at Anchorage Music and Dance Center. He has also worked as a musical director, choreographer, and vocal coach for Anchorage Theatre of Youth.

    Lisa-Marie Castro (Little Stone) is a senior Theatre major and German minor here at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. She recently played the role of the Dauphin in Marie Antoinette and was also the Comrade Chin in M. Butterfly. Lisa-Marie鈥檚 theatre costume designs at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 include Twelfth Night and 44 Plays for 44 Presidents and a dance piece titled 鈥淪imple Pleasures鈥 in New Dances 2015. Last summer, she worked at the Bigfork Summer Playhouse in Montana as a costume technician and designed the musical Footloose.

    Angela Colavecchio (Loud Stone) is a first year Theatre and Journalism/Communications major at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. She previously appeared as Demon in Demon of Darby Castle and Jackie in Cheaper by the Dozen, both at Bartlett High School. Her first 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 production was 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, playing numerous roles such as Harrison Ford and Harry S. Truman. She hopes to one day open a theatre for youth so she can share her passion for acting with young people.

    Ty Hewitt (Director) was born and raised in Ketchikan, Alaska, and has worked as an actor, director, teacher and fight choreographer for productions in the Pacific Northwest and around the country. Theatre credits include Profile Theatre鈥檚 (Portland, OR) Sam Shepard season, playing Vince in Buried Child, the Speaker in Tongues and as a guest lecturer on the nature of violence in Shepard鈥檚 plays. Other Portland theatre credits include The Scene at Portland Playhouse and On The Table with the Sojourn Theatre. Ty performed in deCOMPOSITION, a theatre piece which he co-wrote, in Seattle and NYC. New York credits include Opus D鈥橝mour at Theatre Lab, Babel Tower with Round Table Ensemble and Orsino in Aquila Theatre鈥檚 Twelfth Night at Lincoln Center. Ty has a BFA from Southern Oregon University and an MFA from UMKC.

    Daniel Glen Carlgren (Scenic Designer and Technical Director) is currently the faculty scenic designer, projection designer, and technical director at the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. He received his BFA from Southern Oregon University in 2001 and his MFA from University of Oregon in 2012. Daniel鈥檚 recent credits include scenic and projection design, and technical direction for 44 Plays for 44 Presidents, Night of the Iguana, SPAMalot, Twelfth Night, and many others. Daniel has also worked on the automation for Julie Taymor鈥檚 Grendal and Wagner鈥檚 Ring Cycle for the Los Angeles Opera and Disney鈥檚 Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, Washington. Daniel has worked as a scenery, staging and rigging specialist in the entertainment industry for many years.

    Colleen Metzger (Costume Designer) has worked all across the country. She has designed for the Barter Theatre in Virginia, Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, The New London Barn Playhouse in New Hampshire, CATco and The Human Race Theatre Company in Ohio, Riverside Theatre in Iowa, and the Mad Horse Theatre Company in Maine. Colleen has also run wardrobe at the Glimmerglass Opera, worked as costume technician at the Hangar Theatre, Portland Stage Company, and the Chautauqua Opera, and has worked as a crafts artisan for the Santa Fe Opera.

    Daniel J. Anteau (Production Manager) received a B.A. from the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 and his MFA from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana in Lighting Design. He now serves as department chair, professor in design and technical director for the dance program. Professionally, Daniel鈥檚 lighting designs have been seen across Alaska & Hawaii, to New York City, and internationally to Africa. For the past 5 summers Daniel served as technical director for Trollwood Performing Arts School in Moorhead, MN. In Hawaii, Daniel continues to stay active as lighting designer working with Manoa Valley Theatre on their January production.

    Josh Evans (Assistant Director/Dramaturg) is a Senior Theatre Major here at 老澳门六合彩开奖记录. He is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah and is currently the president of the Wolfpack Theatre Club, having been president for the past two years. He has worked on a number of productions for the club, most notably serving as director for the production of Doubt last year.

    Katie O鈥橪oughlin (Sound Designer) is a Theatre Minor with a Technical and Dance emphasis in her Junior year. She has sound designed for the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 productions of Night of the Iguana and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead. She has also participated as a dancer in New Dances 2014, New Dances 2016, and 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 Dance in Performance. She aspires to combine her love for dance with the skills she鈥檚 gaining as a technical Theatre Major to produce dance concerts. She would like to achieve a Master鈥檚 Degree and one day teach at a University level.
