    The policy is about respect for others and the campus environment.

    Students, faculty, and staff can purchase nicotine gum ($2 for 10 pieces) at the Student Health Center (located at Rasmuson Hall) during business hours.

    If you decide to use tobacco, please note that the 老澳门六合彩开奖记录 smoke and tobacco-free policy DOES NOT apply to:

    • Personally owned vehicles parked or being driven on the campus, provided that the vehicles are not within a university parking garage
    • Public sidewalks or public rights-of-way that border campus

    Littering an area with, or with the remains of, tobacco-related or smoking-related products on campus is also prohibited and carries a $50 fine.

    鈥淪moking鈥 means inhaling, exhaling, burning, or carrying of any lighted or heated or vaporized tobacco-related product or non-tobacco plant product, or operating an electronic smoking or vaping device, instrument or apparatus which can be used to simulate the experience of smoking, or which can be used to house a liquid containing nicotine for delivery in any form to the user, including but not limited to hookahs, water pipes, e-cigarettes, e-cigars, e-pipes, and vape pens.

    E-cigarettes are not approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for tobacco use cessation or harm reduction. For assistance in quitting tobacco use, please see cessation resources below.

    Individuals who do not comply with the policy, repeatedly or deliberately, may be subject to the following actions.

    • Faculty, staff, and volunteers will be referred to their respective supervisors for appropriate action.
    • Contractors and vendors will be referred to their respective employers and/or Procurement and Contracting Services for appropriate action.
    • Visitors and guests may be required to leave the campus if they fail to conform to the tobacco-free policy or regulation.

    2. ASK. Once the person smoking or using tobacco is done, respectfully ask them to responsibly throw away litter in the trash. There is a $50 fine for littering on campus.
    3. ASSIST. Help the person violating the policy. If the person is ready to quit, let them know about the student health center or the HealthyRoads program for employees. If they鈥檙e not ready to quit, let them know they can go to their car or public sidewalks next time to smoke or use tobacco.
