The University Police Department provides safety services for the Anchorage campus and residential halls. Fifteen sworn officers, a chief, three sergeants, dispatchers, non-sworn security, civilian records professionals, and student workers show up every day to help you accomplish your educational goals in peace and safety.

Not for crimes in progress, but you may submit information about an event to UPD which will be reviewed Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (except on holidays). Your information submitted through this form will remain confidential if law and university policy allow.

The Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) Basic Personal Defense System is a national program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques taught for women only. All courses are taught by nationally certified RAD Instructors.
Were you the victim of a crime? Write down, or have a friend write down, everything you can remember about the incident, including a physical description of the assailant. You should attempt to do this even if you are unsure about reporting the incident in the future.
